K9 Vise started with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in 2015 and was partnered with Deputy Scott Cronin. Vise was chosen as our first K9 Unit of the Year 2023 after being stabbed 9 times in the head and neck while attempting to subdue a home invasion suspect in 2020. Vise recovered from his wounds and served 2 more years with the Sheriff’s Office before being retired in 2023.
